I don’t know about you, but this week (it’s only Wednesday?) has been one of those weeks where I can not stop thinking about all the things I want to do and what I would like to make happen for other people. I have been inspired, I have been full of ideas, and I feel like I have been feeding off many of you here on SI. Not in a ‘vampire’ kind of way (we know those people, right?), but in a positive, ‘thank you for the good vibes’ kind of way.
Okay, with that being said, I was in Aaron Prickel’s class this morning at Lushin and Associates learning how to be ‘gutsy’. One of the clients brought up something I thought was really good, and I wanted to share.
How often do we get caught up in the results that we want to see? As business owners, as salespeople, as humans.
We can see the end so clear, we’ve set our intentions, but for some reason, the result isn’t always what we invisioned.
Well, (okay, we know where this is going), perhaps we need to be looking at our BEHAVIOR. Are we DOING what it takes to GET to the result, rather than just dreaming big and going nowhere? I would like to say that many of you have big things to do this year. Big goals. I’ve read them. And I think this is a good forum for semi-accountability, if that makes any sense.
I just think that if there is something holding you back, (it’s usually ourself), recognize that, and do the steps necessary in order to change. Be brave this year. Bravery is doing what it takes to get the results we want even if it’s uncomfortable. And don’t forget to ALSO make it about other people. I believe if you do these things, your business will grow, your relationships with thrive, and you will learn more about your strengths as a human than you ever have.
