Dear Blog,
I love you because you are always here for me. You don’t really “judge” me with the exception of a couple of red lines every once in a while as my fingers often have to keep up with my head rants. You allow me to be transparent and authentic. You allow me to scream at the top of my lungs what is inside me. You allow me to generate new audiences, and give value to others. You provide a platform for others to really “get” me, and for others to not…and for some reason, I don’t care about those who don’t. I love you because I am able to build strength, and skill. I am able to create and inspire. I am able to learn and give back. I am able to speak with and hear from those I never would have otherwise connected with.
Dear Blog,
Thank you for being there to give me a new passion. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to not have to play inside the fence, yet be able to play well. Thank you for blessing me with brilliant minds’ ideas, and having to opportunity to be among those I look up to.
Dear Blog,
Please be content in knowing I will continue to serve my audience and my clients. I will do my best to create hope and ideals in others. I will continually look up to those who have taught me what I know and continue to support me. I will forever be grateful to my peers, and I will support any effort they make because they are AWESOME.
Dear Blog,
Thank you for rocking my world!
Your forever friend,
Lindsay
Well, now we can see the inner thoughts of Lindsay! This will be exciting to watch! I hope the new company is launching strong…I’m on the lookout for clients for you.
Dear Blog? I love it! “Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to not have to play inside the fence, yet be able to play well.” — Very well stated.
I’m looking forward to reading more. I wish you all the best with your blogging venture!
WOW – love the “Dear Blog”!!! Your blogs are always a great read….
Dear Comment Box,
Thank you for letting me share what I think about Lindsay’s blog! You don’t judge me (unless Lindsay decides to moderate comments.) And whenever my name appears at the top of the comment, you know it’s truly me! (unless I hired a ghostcommenter, gotcha!) You are the best comment box.
Love,
Robby
P.S. Lindsay is my hero.
FML. I was going to do a dear comment box, however Robby beat me to it. Well done sir, well done.
On to actual response – I love the simplicity of what a blog stands for: the author can write absolutely anything, that can be read by absolutely anyone. The beautiful thing about a more open system of sharing information is hidden in that exact thought: there is more information shared. I struggle with everyday people NOT being able to, whether they are scared or simply cannot find the words to describe, their true feelings. It is my belief that people hide behind the thoughts of others without giving context to their own word, whether written or spoken.
“I can’t even find, the perfect brush so I can paint what’s going through my mind.”
Very cool stuff Lindsay. I’m excited to furthering a relationship with you within the social space as a whole. You are definitely a mind I’ve added to my brain-trust. And not many are in that room.
I love to kick the soccer ball over my house and into the lake behind our house.
